STAR forward Robbie Gray has earned his first MG MVP nod for season 2021.
Port’s mercurial goak-kicker did what he does best, standing up for the Power when his side needed it most.
The 33-year old kicked three crucial goals in the one-point win over Collingwood, including two goals within five minutes in the second term to bring Port Adelaide back in the game.
His third in the final term brought the margin back to just one point, sparking the Power’s late surge of goals to claim the lead for the first time at the 17-minute mark of the last quarter, and hold on as eventual victors.
Gray also had 18 disposals, four tackles and five score involvements to take out the maximum five points in the fans vote.
Coming in second place was experienced midfielder Travis Boak after collecting 27 disposals – 13 of them contested and a team-high eight clearances.
Rounding out the votes this week was Ollie Wines (3rd), Kane Farrell (4th), Sam Powell-Pepper (5th).
Port Adelaide now turn their attention to hosting Fremantle in a Sunday twilight clash at Adelaide Oval as part of Sir Doug Nicholls round.
