YOUNG defender Tom Clurey has taken out Monday's 3km time trial.
The elite runner crossed the line just moments ahead of Sam Colquhoun, followed by senior players Cam O'Shea, Tom Jonas and Brad Ebert.
The 3km run at the Uni Loop kicks off Port Adelaide's pre season campaign with the full group, which was followed by football training drills.
While the whole playing group officially returned to the track today, 1-4 year players have been back at training since November 3.
Clurey and Colquhoun also performed well in the first 3km time trial two weeks ago, which was claimed by Kane Mitchell, with the two youngsters coming in at second and third.
Mitchell was rested for Monday's run.
