PORT ADELAIDE forward Charlie Dixon has been fined by the Match Review Officer for striking during the club’s win over St Kilda on Saturday.
Dixon has been charged with striking Saints midfielder Brad Crouch during the last quarter of Port’s 13-point win at Marvel Stadium.
The MRO has classified the incident as careless with high contact but of low impact.
It was deemed to be a $5000 sanction as a second offence but Dixon is able to accept a $3000 fine with an early guilty plea.
Dixon had 13 disposals and booted a goal late in the contest that sealed the result.
