Taken with Port Adelaide’s second pick in the 2023 AFLW Supplementary Draft (twelfth overall), Katelyn Pope is a zippy mid-forward that has already proved she has the skillset and resilience to compete at the elite level.
Known for her speed and running capacity, native South Australian Pope was signed by West Coast as an injury replacement player in 2021 and went on to play six senior games. Returning to her home state ahead of the 2023 season, she broke into the side in Round 3 (a win vs St Kilda) and went on to play the rest of the games that season.
A hard-working player that always looks out for her teammates, Pope enters the 2024 season with renewed confidence and a proven ability at the highest level.

The Port Adelaide Football Club acknowledges the land on which we train and play, are based on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people. We respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the traditional custodians of Australia and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living people today.
