The Port Adelaide's Multicultural and Indigenous Academy offers skill and development opportunities for new and existing players from multicultural and indigenous backgrounds from prescribed remote regions in South Australia.
Players are identified by participation in club football and Port Adelaide's own cultural programs and the Aboriginal Power Cup.
The main aims of the Academy are to:
- Improve fundamental skills and craft base execution
- Advance players decision making and game awareness
- Educate on physical preparation and injury prevention
- Introduce Elite athlete nutrition planning
Eligibility:
- Born in Africa, Asia or culturally and linguistically diverse countries where English is not traditionally the first spoken language, as well as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.
