The Port Adelaide Football Club will relive and celebrate the Power’s greatest moments as it makes its popular Before the Bounce functions even better in 2012.
The “Iconic Moments” feature was unveiled during the Opening Round clash against St Kilda on Sunday 1 April, with former captain Gavin Wanganeen reliving his unforgettable role in the 2004 preliminary final against the Saints.
Interviewed by master of ceremonies Mark Soderstrom from our Key Partner Seven News, Gavin spoke candidly about the six-point victory that set the Power on the path to its inaugural AFL premiership a week later.
The club’s inaugural AFL captain spoke about his own miraculous match-winning goals, but also of the desperation among his team-mates, the elation of reaching a grand final after several seasons of coming so close and of the atmosphere at AAMI stadium on that night seven years ago.
Port Adelaide will showcase other Iconic Moments at every Before the Bounce function in 2012, with each highlight linked to our opponent of the day and recalled by the man - or men - of the moment.

Round 11 Port Adelaide v Hawthorn - Sunday 1- June (2.00pm for 2.30pm - 4.10pm kick-off)
Round 15 BALFOURS SHOWDOWN Port Adelaide v Adelaide - Saturday 7 July (5.00pm for 5.30pm 7.10pm kick-off)
Round 16 Port Adelaide v Essendon - Saturday 14 July (11.30am for 12.00pm - 1.40pm kick-off)
Round 22 Port Adelaide v Brisbane - Saturday 25 August (11.30am for 12.00pm - 1.40pm kick-off)
