In: Duursma, Frederick, Visentini, Mead, T. Burgoyne, Corcoran
Out: Farrell (AFL), Nield, Cheesman, Aldridge, Carter, Westbrook
XAVIER DUURSMA, Jackson Mead and Martin Frederick headline a list of at least six inclusions for Port Adelaide’s SANFL Anzac Round game against Sturt on Sunday.
Duursma has been sidelined for the past fortnight with neck and shoulder bruising while Frederick was forced to isolate under health and safety protocols last week.
After playing his first five games at AFL level, Jackson Mead will this week play for the Magpies alongside fellow father-son Trent Burgoyne who missed the narrow loss to Norwood last Friday night.
Ruckman/forward Dante Visentini (H&S protocols) and Tom Corcoran (concussion) have also been named in the side that faced the Redlegs.
The side will be without Kane Farrell after his promotion to the AFL team, while Max Nield, Oliver Cheesman, Dylan Aldridge, Miller Carter and Jake Westbrook have each been omitted.
Captain Cam Sutcliffe will miss a second game with a hamstring injury.
Karl Amon, Jed McEntee, Sam Mayes and Lachie Jones have been named as AFL emergencies but will be eligible to feature at SANFL level if not required in the club’s match against West Coast on Saturday evening.
Sunday’s game against Sturt gets underway at Alberton at 2:05pm. Those attending have been advised to arrive early for the traditional Anzac ceremony, which takes place from 1:45pm.
