Port Adelaide will take on fellow expansion team, the Essendon Bombers, in a pre-season practice match ahead of season seven of NAB AFLW.

The Power women will head to The Hangar in Melbourne for the clash on Saturday 13 August, from 11am AEST.

For the first time ever, all 18 AFL and AFLW teams will play the same opposition in both men’s and women’s over the same weekend.

Each club’s AFLW pre-season match will align with round 22 of the AFL Toyota Premiership season, with the Port men to play against the Bombers at Marvel Stadium on Sunday 14 August.

The week prior, all AFLW sides will participate in an informal match simulation in preparation for the first official practice match.

Port Adelaide will officially begin its inaugural AFLW campaign on Saturday 27 August in Perth, with the team’s first match at Alberton Oval to take place the following weekend.
