CLASSY midfielder Connor Rozee has continued his stellar 2022 season, taking out the Fans MG MVP for his dominant performance against Collingwood.
The young gun had a game-high 35 disposals to go along with five score involvements and five tackles.
Although his recent performances won’t come as a surprise to Port Adelaide fans, his Round 20 effort is the latest that puts him in the rankings as one of the in-form midfielders in the competition.
This is the third time Rozee has claimed the fan vote this season, pushing ahead to cement himself in second place on the MG MVP Leaderboard.
Coming in second place in the fan vote was Sam Powell-Pepper who ran out the match with 18 disposals and five marks, topped off with two goals.
His dribble snap from the boundary line in the third term and clinical set shot early in the fourth quarter each provided spark in a match where momentum was difficult to grapple.
The bullish forward continued his career-best year, with his trademark toughness and ‘never give up’ attitude rarely failing to catch the eye of the fans this season. He currently leads the fan vote by a sizeable 16 points.
Rounding out the votes this week were livewire Zak Butters (three votes), ever-consistent Travis Boak (two votes) and silky defender Jase Burgoyne (one vote), who claims his first-ever fan points.
Port Adelaide returns home for Round 21 action, taking on Richmond in a Saturday night clash at Adelaide Oval.
