Skala Bakery to sponsor Academy
Skala Bakery will be the new major backer of the club's Elite Football Academy.
The local Port Adelaide business has been a sponsor of the club for over 15 years and its sponsorship of the junior Academy this season represents its biggest commitment yet to junior football in the club’s heartland.
The club’s Under-18 team guernsey will be marked by Skala Bakery branding and the team’s coach Mark Clayton said he was thrilled to have a local backer for his team in 2014.
“Skala have been with us since I was playing at the club and it means a lot to the whole club to have them on board at this level with us this year,” Clayton said.
“Their sponsorship will help us run our junior programs this year and will help ensure our junior talent and coaches have the necessary resources to continue to be competitive in a really close competition.”
Skala Bakery is owned by Jan Huis in’t Veld, who has expanded and refined the range of artisan products at his Port Adelaide premises over the last 25 years.
It’s why Skala Bakery is Adelaide’s own award-winning artisan bakery thanks to its delicious range of breads and savoury products available from its Central Market shop and other stockists around the city.
And supporting Skala Bakery not only tastes great, but also supports one of the longest partnerships in SANFL League and junior footy.
