Shaun Burgoyne will play against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday but will have carry-over points if he is reported again after accepting a reprimand for bumping Troy Selwood.Shaun was reported on Monday by the AFL’s match review panel who assessed the incident as follows...“Shaun Burgoyne, Port Adelaide, has been charged with bumping or making forceful contact from front-on against Troy Selwood, Brisbane Lions, during the third quarter of the Round Thirteen match between Port Adelaide and the Brisbane Lions, played at the Gabba on Saturday June 30, 2007.In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has no applicable good or bad record. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 93.75 points and a reprimand.”Shaun and Port Adelaide accepted the reprimand and 93.75 carry-over points on Monday evening.Meanwhile, the AFL match review panel looked at an incident involving Warren Tredrea and reported as follows...Contact between Port Adelaide's Warren Tredrea and the Brisbane Lions' Daniel Merrett from the third quarter of Saturday's match was reviewed. The panel said that Tredrea swung his arm into Merrett, with an open hand, and contact was made to Merrett's arms. The action was not deemed reportable and no further action was required.
