KEN HINKLEY has called on Port Adelaide’s members and supporters to fill the Adelaide Oval to the brim on Friday night.

On the back of a season that has seen Port smash records – its own membership figure (currently at 55,670), the total attendance at its home games in a single season (currently 435,501) and the highest ever attendance at any AFL game in South Australia (52,233 in Round 10) – Hinkley wants to see the Power’s true believers send the club’s home-and-away calendar at its city home off with a bang.

A big crowd, he says, is essential to bringing the Power home against the Blues on Black and White Friday Night at the Oval.

BUY TICKETS - LESS THAN 450 AVAILABLE

That’s why he’s calling on members or ticketholders who can’t make the match to hand their ticket onto a friend or family member.

“It’s really important for us, as a football club, for all our members to come along on Friday night,” Hinkley told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“And if you can’t make the game, we want you to hand your seat over to someone else you know who can come and support the boys on the night.

“Our supporters have been enormous for us every game, all year, and I’m sure they’ll be no different this week.

“But we want to fill the place right up – to go for a newer record, even!”

Breaking its own record would require a significant showing of the club’s game-access members, which is why it’s important every reserved seat ticket holder passes their membership card on one more time.

Essential Power members can also purchase guest passes to the Western Stand, although these are now at less than 100 tickets.

While Hinkley hopes to play a home final at the Oval - Port Adelaide having qualified for finals with its win last week – he also believes the significance of Friday’s game warrants a big home-and-away send off for the club’s incredible new city home.

SELECTION: POWER AT FULL STRENGTH

“The club is going to recognise our members as part of ‘Members’ Recognition Round’ and of course we’re calling on all our supporters to wear black and white to celebrate the 1914 team,” Hinkley said.

“It would be great to have a fitting send off for the ground - hopefully not for the last game at the Oval this year - but certainly for our last home-and-away game in the city.

“The boys love our crowd and we’ll be turning up to play for them.”

Port Adelaide’s match against the Blues is likely to sell out across Thursday night and Friday morning, with fewer than 450 standing-room only tickets remaining.
