PORT Adelaide will enter its Gather Round clash against the Western Bulldogs likely to make at least one change at the selection table.

DEFENDER Ryan Burton has served his two-game suspension for a dangerous tackle on Collingwood’s Jamie Elliott in Round 2 and would be a valuable addition to the Power’s backline with his versatility to play on a range of opponents.

Port are however coming off the back of a stirring victory at the SCG, so it remains to be seen what changes could be made to the winning mix that took down the Swans.

Deputy vice-captain Darcy Byrne-Jones started the game as the sub, but made an immediate impact upon taking to the SCG, influencing several critical moments and could be elevated to the starting 22 this weekend.

Livewire forward Orazio Fantasia (quad) is currently the only player listed on the club’s injury report, with no shortage of options available to the coaches depending how they want to structure up against the Bulldogs and manage the potential heavy rainfall over the weekend.

The Magpies suffered a 17-point defeat in the SANFL on Good Friday, but several individual performances could again prick the ears of selectors.

High-flyer Mitch Georgiades continued his form building, slotting three goals from his 15 touches against Glenelg.

Meanwhile, Trent Dumont (22 possessions and 10 tackles) and Riley Bonner (25 disposals and nine rebound 50s) were in the thick of it at the Bay.

Jase Burgoyne (21 touches) is another that has already tasted AFL action this season who performed admirably in defeat to the Tigers.

Port Adelaide will name its Gather Round team on Thursday evening, with the sub to be selected from the named emergencies an hour before the first bounce.
