IN: Burgoyne, Dixon
OUT: Farrell (injured), Jonas (suspended), T. Marshall (concussion)
LAST WEEK’S SUB: Williams
POWERFUL forward Charlie Dixon will be welcomed back for Port Adelaide’s huge clash against ladder-leaders St Kilda this Friday night.
A minor knee injury saw Dixon sidelined for Round 6, but the towering tall has regained fitness and participated in full training since the Anzac Day break.
Dixon will take the place of Todd Marshall, who suffered a head knock in last weekend’s match and has entered concussion protocols.
Defenders Jase Burgoyne and Dylan Williams join Dixon in the starting 22, replacing captain Tom Jonas, who is serving a one-match ban and Kane Farrell, who is recovering from a cheekbone fracture.
Williams has once again been elevated to the starting 22, after lining up as the tactical substitute on Saturday against West Coast.
The 21-year-old has played a role in the Power’s three consecutive victories and will experience his first taste of Friday night football since making his AFL debut in 2021.
Ruckman Brynn Teakle has been selected for his fourth AFL match, while young forward Ollie Lord retains his position in the forward line after making his senior debut last weekend.
Riley Bonner, Francis Evans, Lachie Jones and Jackson Mead have been named emergencies, with those not required on Friday night eligible to play in Sunday’s SANFL Russell Ebert tribute match in Loxton.
The tactical substitute will be named from among the emergencies one hour before the first bounce at 7:20pm ACST at Marvel Stadium.
