PORT ADELAIDE has confirmed the AFLW guernsey numbers for its eight new players ahead of the 2023 season.

Priority signing period recruit Ashleigh Saint (née Woodland) will don number 8 – a new playing number for the key forward, to go with her new club and new surname.

Defender Janelle Cuthbertson has selected number 25, with former Geelong defender Maddy Keryk to claim the neighbouring locker of 26.

Young ruck Matilda Scholz has opted for number 29 and Jasmine Simmons, who joined the Power in a trade from Adelaide, will wear 32.

Draftees Jasmin Stewart, Katelyn Pope and Georgie Jaques have selected guernsey numbers 13, 44 and 43 respectively.

The AFL last week confirmed that the 2023 NAB AFLW Season will start on the first weekend of September, during the AFL’s pre-finals bye week.
