SEASONED trio Tom Jonas, Charlie Dixon and Travis Boak headline a group of players who could be ready for a recall to AFL action this Friday night.

Boak is on the cusp of a return after injuring his ribs in Round 10, while Dixon has also joined full training, working hard to overcome a quad strain.

Both players have missed a decent chunk of football but would be expected to come straight back into the AFL frame if fit.

Jonas was solid in the SANFL over the weekend, collecting 17 disposals, five marks and four tackles upon return from suspension.

The AFL captain was part of a quartet of noteworthy SANFL performances on Sunday, with experienced midfielder Trent Dumont, mid-season draftee Quinton Narkle and small forward Francis Evans all making their case for another shot at the top level.

Dumont and Narkle both saw plenty of the footy with 32 and 29 disposals respectively, while Narkle also recorded an impressive eight tackles, seven marks and six clearances.

Despite a three-point loss for the Magpies, Evans also produced a respectable performance, gathering 19 touches and two goals.

Port Adelaide will name its side for Friday night’s Round 13 match against Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST.
