RUCKMAN Scott Lycett will miss this weekend’s home game against Gold Coast as he rehabilitates a knee injury.

Lycett warmed up for the Essendon match on Saturday night but was a late withdrawal after failing a fitness test.

The 30-year-old is expected to miss one to two weeks, with imaging confirming on Monday that he has sustained a small cartilage tear.

Lachie Jones is preparing for a comeback to football, with the defender to be assessed during training this week.

Jones has spent almost a month recovering from a broken jaw, following a collision in the final term of Port Adelaide’s Round 13 win over the Western Bulldogs.

Orazio Fantasia was sidelined over the weekend, with the small forward experiencing hamstring soreness.

Fantasia is building back into full training this week and will be tested to determine his readiness for a return.

Xavier Duursma came through Saturday’s SANFL game with no concerns in his first game back from a PCL tear.

Duursma managed 18 touches and two goals in his first on-field outing in more than eight weeks.

Port Adelaide will name its selected side for Saturday’s match against Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST.
