Port Adelaide has emerged from Sunday’s win over Greater Western Sydney in good shape, with a number of players removed from the injury list over the weekend.
Nathan Barkla (quad) and Tom McCallum (appendix) both made their return to the SANFL on Saturday, while Lachie Jones and Aliir Aliir exited concussion protocols, taking to the field for Sunday’s AFL game.
Young ruck Dante Visentini was a late withdrawal from the extended squad last week citing quad tightness.
Imaging showed he has sustained a minor strain, with the 20-year-old set to be tested in the coming days to determine his eligibility for selection.
Fellow ruck Scott Lycett has recovered well from surgery to clean out the meniscus in his left knee, and will look to resume running this week, with the aim to return for finals.
Charlie Dixon (foot) and Trent McKenzie (knee) are making positive progress with their respective injuries, with both players hoping to also be back in the mix ahead of finals.
Port Adelaide will name its extended side for Sunday’s match against Fremantle on Thursday evening at 5:50pm ACST and the final team at 4:30pm ACST on Friday.
