FORGET Gary Ablett, there's only one man Port Adelaide supporters would want to poach if the club was joining the AFL for the first time in 2016.

That man is Fremantle's Nat Fyfe.

portadelaidefc.com.au's BIG PORT SURVEY rated Nat Fyfe was the best 'franchise' player in the AFL.

That should come as little surprise, given the Brownlow and AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year favourite has enjoyed a career-best year for the minor premiers.

The poll selected a player from the other 17 clubs for the poll with no current Power players named.

GWS forward gun Jeremy Cameron ranked second with 12.6% of the vote ahead of Nic Naitanui with 7.27%.

Melbourne revelation Jesse Hogan and Richmond's Jack Riewoldt also rated highly.

Port Adelaide won't have a chance to see Fyfe in action as he recovers from an injury, nor many of his teammates who will be rested by the premiership favourites.
