PORT ADELAIDE will tune up for the 2024 SANFL season with pre-season trial games against North Adelaide and South Adelaide over the next fortnight.

As it did last year, Port will travel to Thebarton Oval to face the Roosters this Saturday.

It will then host the Panthers at Alberton Oval six days later.

Saturday’s hit-out will present an opportunity for match fitness and touch for a host of new SANFL contracted players and a chance to impress for AFL listed players not selected for the AFL season opener against West Coast 24 hours later.

The games will be the first for the Magpies under new SANFL coach Hamish Hartlett.

All pre-season practice games are open to the public with free admission.

The best way to watch the game against South at Alberton Oval is over a meal at The Precinct but bookings are essential.

Port Adelaide will get its SANFL season underway at Glenelg against the Bays on Friday 29 March.
