Port Adelaide has made four changes for this Saturday’s game against Brisbane, with young defender Logan Evans to make his AFL debut.
Evans was taken by the Power in the mid-season draft just three weeks ago, after being with the club through the SANFL Rookie Program throughout the first half of the year.
Described as a smart ball-user with clean hands and good intercepting ability, the 18-year-old has impressed selectors and is ready for an opportunity at the top level.
Willie Rioli has been named after being sidelined with a calf strain since Round 11, while Jeremy Finlayson has been rewarded with an AFL recall following a solid showing in the SANFL on Saturday.
Jordon Sweet takes the place of Ivan Soldo in the ruck, with Sweet coming off one of his best SANFL games of the year, where he recorded 43 hitouts, 15 disposals and a goal.
Quinton Narkle, Francis Evans and Dylan Williams have also been omitted from the side, while Josh Sinn joins Soldo and Evans in the emergencies.
Finlayson, Rioli, Ollie Wines, Travis Boak and Jackson Mead have all been named on the bench, with the tactical substitute to be chosen from the interchange and announced one hour before the bounce.
Saturday’s game against the Lions will take place at Adelaide Oval from 1:15pm ACST. Tickets are still available for the match.
