PORT ADELAIDE selectors will balance the rare dilemma of having no forced changes for this week’s Saturday night game against Sydney with the prospect of several players putting their hands up to be considered.

It is always hard to change a winning side, particularly one that beat Carlton in Melbourne last Friday, but the potential availability of forward Todd Marshall after a hip injury could sway a change.

Marshall was hurt in the Round 18 game against Gold Coast a fortnight ago and has missed the wins over Richmond and the Blues.

In the SANFL, Dante Visentini, Will Lorenz and Hugh Jackson also made strong claims to be discussed.

Visentini continued his dominant form in the ruck against Sturt, having 45 hit-outs and five clearances. The next best ruck – Sturt’s Lachlan Burrows – had 13 hit-outs for the match. For good measure, Visentini added five tackles and 12 disposals to be among the best for the Magpies.

Wingman Will Lorenz was his side’s leading disposal getter with 24 touches and also laid four tackles and had five clearances, five marks and five rebound 50s.

Jackson was impressive through the middle with 20 touches and a goal. He also laid eight tackles, had four clearances and went inside 50 six times.

Defenders Ryan Burton and Josh Sinn each played their second games back following respective foot and collarbone injuries

Port Adelaide will on Thursday evening name its side for Saturday night’s game against Sydney, which gets underway at 7:00pm ACST.
