PORT ADELAIDE could go into its clash with Gold Coast with an unchanged line up for the first time this season, rewarding the 22 players who broke a 5-game losing streak against Adelaide last weekend.
Karl Amon, Dom Barry, Trent McKenzie and Jack Trengove have been added to the squad that beat the Crows in last week’s thrilling Showdown but with no injuries or suspensions from Showdown XLIV, the team could be the same.
Amon has played four AFL games in 2018 but was omitted from the side that beat Adelaide by five points in Round 8. He has averaged 15 disposals and three marks a game this year.
Barry was also omitted after the Power’s disappointing loss to West Coast but has been impressive in his return to AFL footy this season.
Trengove has been in scintillating form in the SANFL, which has seen him be an AFL emergency for a number of weeks. The ex-Demon had 36 touches and two goals in his last outing.
McKenzie has also been impressive for the Magpies and made his Power debut against Essendon in Round 4 but hasn’t featured since.
Jarod Polec is an almost certain starter despite flying later than the rest of the group to China due to a virus.
Port face the Suns at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai on Saturday afternoon at 2.45pm (ACST).
