PORT ADELAIDE is headed straight to the SANFL Grand Final thanks to a convincing 33-point Second Semi Final win over minor premiers Woodville-West Torrens at Adelaide Oval.
The Magpies got the game going with the first clearance and held possession in their forward half for the first 10 minutes of the game.
The impressive start saw Port kick all five goals for the quarter, only conceding one point to the Eagles after the quarter time siren.
Hitting targets through the midfield proved a challenge for the Eagles, where fumbling and poor hand passes led to turnovers in favour of the Magpies.
The Magpies continued to place pressure around the ball through the midfield to force turnovers throughout the game.
Port Adelaide defended hard when the Eagles managed to break the lines - Logan Austin, Jarrod Lienert and Cameron Hewett worked tirelessly deep in the backline to overcome their opponent.
The Eagles gained their much-needed momentum in the second quarter, holding possession in their forward half and scoring the first three goals of the quarter.
The increase in the Eagles' forward pressure kept the Magpies scoreless for 21 minutes in the second term, until a brilliant set shot goal from the pocket by Brett Eddy followed by a captain's goal from Steve Summerton saw Port Adelaide back in the game.
Krakouer continued his impressive form, finishing the game with two goals before coming off the field early in the third term with a hamstring issue.
Matt White was also sidelined with an ankle problem at quarter time and didn't return to the field.
Captain Steven Summerton was an asset through the midfield all day, providing support in the backline while topping the table with 36 disposals and one goal.
Brendon Ah Chee and Robbie Young provided contest and speed respectively; setting up crucial goals and keeping the Eagles at bay with defensive pressure all the way down the field.
But it was all the Magpies in the second half; the Eagles were simply unable to match a firing Port Adelaide outfit.
The Magpies ran out the game comfortable winners with a 33-point margin under their belt.
The win gives Port Adelaide the next week off and sends them straight to the Grand Final - their first since 2014.
Next week's prelim final between the Eagles and Double Blues will determine their opponent in the Granf Final, which will take place on Sunday 24 September at 3.10pm.
