PORT'S stunning season was born from so many of the Power's players enjoying personal success in 2014.

As such, you'll pay dearly for many of the side's stars in 2015's NAB AFL Fantasy competition.

There are nine who command at least $500,000 this year, with vice-captain Brad Ebert (MID, $560,000) leading the way. But given the youth on Port's list there remains genuine value. Ollie Wines (MID, $517,000) is pricey but as he enters his third year, he only looks like improving.

Veteran Kane Cornes (MID, $547,000) ran a personal best 3km time trail in November and isn't showing any signs of slowing down and after being promoted to the senior list.

Kane Mitchell (FWD/MID, $397,000) offers great versatility as a dual-position player.

The Power's draw is tough, though, and a drop in performance could see players struggle to post big Fantasy numbers.

The players themselves are well aware of the challenge ahead of them and have been preparing accordingly – it's difficult to see Port dropping too far off the pace.

Chad Wingard (FWD, $439,000): Played far deeper in attack last year than in his All Australian 2013 season and learnt much about the defensive component of the game. He's capable of winning plenty more possessions than he did in 2014, and could get more midfield opportunities.

Cam O'Shea (DEF, $389,000): He'll be fighting it out for a spot in defence with Jarman Impey and his selection could often come down to match-ups. But O'Shea impressed the Power's coaches with his intensity and application during the pre-season camp in Dubai, and if he manages to cement a place in the side his price will rise. He knows how to find the ball in defence and averaged 70.89 Fantasy points a game in his nine opportunities last year.

Jay Schulz (FWD, $440,000): Coming off a career-best season in which he made the initial All Australian squad, Schulz may appear an odd choice as a player to avoid in Fantasy. But with Patrick Ryder's arrival at Alberton, the Power introduce another tall target in attack. Schulz will still be odds-on to claim a fourth-straight club goalkicking award, but the presence in attack of another big man could lower his Fantasy scoring opportunities.
