Here’s our top 5 must-see away games for 2016
1. Round 6 v Richmond @ MCG- Saturday, April 30 @ 7:25pm
It doesn’t get much bigger than Saturday night at the MCG against Richmond! This game will mark the Power’s first night game at the MCG since 2004, and it’s always a tight competition with the Tigers. One of the easier ones for Adelaide-based fans to make the trip, given it’s in Melbourne. Plus it’s on Saturday night, giving you the whole weekend!
2. Round 20 v Sydney @ SCG- Saturday, August 6 @ 1:45pm
It’s an attractive timeslot for fans to get the chance to soak up a weekend in the harbour city, and definitely a worthy game to make the trip over for. With a winning drought at the Swans’ home ground dating back to 2006, the Power is due to shake things up at the SCG and this may well the their chance
3. Round 19 v Brisbane Lions @ Gabba- Saturday, July 30 @ 7:25pm
Last time the two sides met at the Gabba, Port Adelaide fans left disappointed. After a season-defining loss to the Lions, the Power will have all guns firing, hunting redemption to even the ledger. Make a weekend end of it, take the kids up and enjoy the Sunshine State for a few days.
4. Round 11 v Collingwood @ MCG - Sunday, June 5 @ 1:10pm
In what always proves to be a fierce battle, will be even bigger in our second and final game on MCG turf. The last time these two sides met was in a thriller, which saw the Power win by three points in an emotionally-charged clash, honouring the late Phil Walsh. Their roaring home crowd is a force to be reckoned with –a good chance to really get behind the boys as they enter enemy territory.
5. Round 10 v Melbourne @ TIO Traeger Park- Saturday, May 28 @ 1:40pm
Port Adelaide and Melbourne are starting to grow a nice little rivalry in this great fixture, in the third time in as many seasons to travel to Alice Springs to face off against the Dees. What better way to watch footy than on a Saturday arvo, in the heart of Australia? A very unique setting with every chance to see Jimmy Toumpas face off against his old side for the first time.
