THE role of the sub is to have an impact whenever it is they're injected into the game - Aaron Young did exactly that for Port Adelaide on Saturday night against the Pies.

Young has timed his run in 2013 to perfection. His strong form in the SANFL saw him break into the Power side in Round 21 against the Suns. Strong performances followed and he's held his spot ever since.

He timed his run perfectly again in the Elimination Final.

Playing in his first AFL Final, Young entered the game 19 minutes into the third quarter with scores level at 49 apiece and the infographic below show the incredible impact he had in just 32% game time.
