Garry Hocking runs the rule over his players against South Adelaide from last Saturday...

Andrew Moore

A dominant performance from Moorey last week, but unfortunately he will miss the big clash against North Adelaide this week due to a suspension. We were really pleased with his stoppage work and he had numerous inside 50 ball as well.

Power player reviews

Karl Amon
After missing some part of the game against Sturt due to concussion, Karl returned to good form against South. He ran hard over four quarters and used the ball really well. He is developing nicely and has started to win his own ball in the one-on-one contests.

Mitch Harvey
He was really exciting in the first 10 minutes of the game when he set up a couple of early goals with contests and effort. He just needs to keep working hard over four quarters and keep developing his forward/ruck craft.

Steven Summerton
Had a very good start to the match with 13 possessions in the second quarter, then Gotchy put a bit of a clamp on him and he still contributed but a little down on previous quarters.

Angus Bruggemann
Tried very hard again in the ruck against a quality opponent in Brooksby. Gave away a couple of frees trying to be too aggressive but I don’t mind that. Would like to settle him down to one position but he is providing good flexibility for us playing a number of roles at the moment.

Ben Haren
Not his best game but Ben did have some impact up forward, he provided a target for us as well as helping out in the ruck at times.

Tom Logan

Tom worked hard again for us over the match, he had the most defensive actions with spoils, tackles and intercepts. He used the ball well coming out of defence and had some time on ball late in the match.

Tom Clurey
Played a really strong and smart game on Eddy this week, did not allow him to have the influence he has had in previous games. He was far more aggressive and tested his opponent when we were in offence.

Campbell Heath

Campbell's had very good form at the moment playing down back, reads the play well and has good balance between defence and attack. His kicking was a highlight and he really looked to run and create out of our defensive 50.

John Butcher
Butch had lots of shots on goal again which is pleasing from a key forwards perspective. Early on he had some timing issues but he kept at it and was able to then mark the ball with more confidence as the game went on. We loved his pressure inside 50 as well as providing a contest for Neade and co.

Anthony Biemans
Just another solid team performance from Biemer, playing midfield, back and forward. Super tough when over the footy but also is developing some elite running patterns to help us hit the scoreboard.

Cam O’Shea
Good performance like most of our backs, Cam cut off many of South’s attacks and used the ball well. Had a little pinch hit in the ruck but quickly went back and provided us will real run and dash.

Daniel Flynn
It was just really exciting to see him take the game on with his speed. Football-wise he is starting to grasp the way we want to play and is looking very much like a player each time he takes the field. Enjoying being back with the boys and is quickly becoming a cult hero among our fans.

Sam Gray
Big improvement from last week, he found his confidence around the stoppages and delivered the ball well to our forwards.

Nathan Krakouer
Another good performance by Krak, like Cam he denied South some inside 50s with good positioning and smart reading of the play. His body shape is improving week-to-week and this is helping him stay in the game for longer periods.

Jake Neade
I cant knock Jake’s form at the moment, he was very aggressive in the contest and showed real class and speed in possession. Three goals as well as assisting in a couple of others was a good day's work.

Paul Stewart
Paul again was very consistent in his role through the midfield and forward. Provided good run and good disposal as well as hitting the score board.

Darcy Byrne-Jones
Nullified his opponents this week and was strong in the contest either in the air or on the ground. Love the way he attacks the footy and is starting to hurt the opposition with his foot skills and run.

Ben Newton
Just needs to wait for another window to open with regard to AFL selection - maybe he is the next cab off the rank. Although a little quiet against South, he worked tirelessly over four quarters.

Brendon Ah Chee

Not a big game due to his stats, but his possessions were of a high quality which was pleasing. Now the test for Arch is whether he can find more of the footy. Took another big pack mark up forward and finished the day with two goals and two tackles.

Robbie Young
Came back into the side due to the suspension of Slattery and again did some polished things. We love his speed and energy but at times he just needs to do the first thing, as well as keep his feet in contests. Great forward play and finished with two goals and setup a couple of others with his footy smarts and tackling pressure.
