LAST WEEK’S NEWS

Ollie Wines (MID, $545,000) returned after injuring his wrist in round three and scored a very solid 99. Robbie Gray (FWD/MID, $566,000) has now averaged 119 over the last three weeks and is now ranked as the seventh best Fantasy player over that time. Gray scored 108 but it was Jack Hombsch (DEF, $329,000) who topped scored this week after he took 12 marks for his equal highest Fantasy score in his career of 110.

The legend, Kane Cornes (MID, $441,000) has officially hung up his boots after what was an amazing career. Cornes will be a Fantasy Hall of Famer one day and experienced his best Fantasy years in 2007 and 2013 where he averaged 107. His highest score was in 2007 against the Hawks (164pts) where he found the ball 38 times, took 14 marks and nailed three goals. Well done Kane!

ON THE RADAR

For those who didn’t get on board last week, Karl Amon (MID, $142,000) is still a reasonable downgrade target after he received his second green vest and hopefully will now replace Cornes in the Power’s best 22. Matthew Lobbe (RUC, $445,000) is down $60,000 from his starting price and is now starting to warm-up. He has scored 102 and 94 in his last two games and laid a game high 10 tackles last week.

TOP 5 SCORERS

#1 – 110 Jack Hombsch (DEF, $329,000)
#2 – 108 Robbie Gray (FWD/MID, $566,000)
#3 – 107 Kane Cornes (MID, $441,000)
#4 – 102 Matthew Lobbe (RUC, $445,000)
#5 – 99 Ollie Wines (MID, $545,000)

WHAT’S COMING UP

This week, the Power travel to Traeger Park (Alice Springs) to take on the Demons. Brad Ebert (MID, $553,000) scored 102 against Melbourne last year and I’m tipping him to bounce back from his last two week’s of sub par scores of 96 and 64. My crystal ball has him locked in for a solid 120+ this week.

Good luck for round nine!
