ANZAC Day tradition to continue at The Parade
Old rivals to face-off at the Parade in traditional clash.
The game will coincide with the centenary of ANZAC and takes place prior to Port Adelaide's AFL night clash with Hawthorn at the Adelaide Oval.
It was the AFL fixture that led to the SANFL relocating its marquee April 25 game to Norwood's home ground in an effort to preserve the tradition it has established over several seasons.
SANFL general manager of football Adam Kelly says the League will work with both clubs to commemorate the memories the contributions of both clubs' players and officials to past war efforts.
"The ANZAC Day clash of the previous year’s grand finalists is a significant event on our calendar," said Kelly.
"The match allows the SANFL community to commemorate the Gallipoli landing and the standard of character established for our nation that day.
"We are passionate about remembering with gratitude those who have served and continue to serve our country while also acknowledging their families.
"In 2015, the centenary of the ANZACs, the SANFL will be working with clubs to understand the history of service of those who have also pulled on their club colours and commemorate their contribution to club and country."
No time has been confirmed for the match, with the 2015 SANFL League fixture to be officially released in mid-December.
