SEVERAL AFL Media journalists have tipped Travis Boak to be a Brownlow Medal smokey in 2013.
Completing their end of year predictions including Premiers, Norm Smith and All-Australian Captain, Nick Bowen, Ben Collins, Mark Macgugan and Nathan Schmook all chose Boak as their 'Brownlow smokey'.
Boak is enjoying a standout season - his first as captain of the club - and is inside the top 10 of the AFL Coaches Association Award having polled in 10 matches this year.
The skipper is also ranked second in the Official Supporters' Player of the Year Award, only behind Chad Wingard.
In 2010, Boak polled 16 votes to be ranked inside the top 10 of the Brownlow Medal - his best single season performance in the Brownlow.
