BRAD Ebert was judged best afield on Saturday night by coaches Ken Hinkley and Nathan Buckley with the Port Adelaide vice-captain awarded 10 votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player Award.

Ebert had 30 disposals - 12 contested - six tackles and a goal for the Power in Port's stirring win over Collingwood in Round 14.

His maximum vote haul has catapulted him up Port Adelaide rankings in the award.

He is now sixth overall.

Chad Wingard now leads his Power teammates after winning three votes for his performance.

He now has 40 votes ahead of former leaders Travis Boak and Hamish Hartlett.

Matthew Broadbent's solid game was rewarded with eight votes from the coaches while Justin Westhoff (three votes), Alipate Carlile and Ollie Wines (two) and Kane Cornes (one) were also recognised.

Paul Seedsman was the only Collingwood player to be awarded votes
