BRAD EBERT was the only player to poll votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award in Port Adelaide’s 30-point loss to Essendon on Sunday.

Coaches Ken Hinkley and James Hird awarded five Essendon players votes, with Cale Hooker taking the maximum ten votes from the game.

Ebert’s best-on-ground performance for the Power culminated with 36 disposals – the most of any player on the field – in addition to four tackles and eight marks.

He now sits fifth among his Port Adelaide teammates in the voting for the AFLCA award.

Chad Wingard still leads with 40 votes ahead of Travis Boak on 38 and Hamish Hartlett and Justin Westhoff tied on 30.
