WEST Coast has kept up the pressure on the top four with a 48-point win over Port Adelaide in a match that notably failed to reach any heights.
The Eagles won 14.14 (98) to 6.14 (50), leaving the Power's interim coach Garry Hocking still searching for his first win.
Port Adelaide had only one goal to half-time, and trailed by 49 points when the Eagles kicked the first major of the second half, but woke up the crowd with three successive goals just before the last change.
The brief flurry meant little, however, as West Coast pulled away again in the last term.
Forward Jack Darling and ruckman Nic Naitanui kicked three goals each for the Eagles.
Naitanui went to full forward in the second half after dominating the ruck early in the game, while Matt Priddis and Josh Hill were also good for the winners.
Jay Schulz was the best of Port's forwards but booted 2.5, missing some relatively easy opportunities.
Brad Ebert was also good in his first game against his old side since moving to the Power this season.
Danyle Pearce and Kane Cornes tried hard all day, while Matthew Broadbent continued his outstanding form.
Both teams lost a player through head knocks, with West Coast's Adam Selwood and Port's Paul Stewart subbed out early after going down within a minute of each other.
In the first quarter West Coast dominated the play with goals to Darling, Scott Selwood and Shannon Hurn and kept the Power without a major in setting up a 17-point lead at the break.
The Eagles piled on five goals in the second term to set up a match-winning lead, with Port taking until the 14-minute mark to post their first.
