Injured Port Adelaide midfielder Hamish Hartlett has been cleared of wrong doing for an incident in the third term of Sunday's game against the Western Bulldogs.

Hartlett, in possession of the ball at the time, was sighted for making high contact with Bulldog Tom Liberatore while trying to break a tackle.

No further action was taken with the Panel of the opinion that Hartlett legitimately tried to break the tackle and that high contact was accidental.

The news comes as Matt Thomas was offered a two match sanction (with an early guilty plea) for a high bump against Liberatore.
