Shortly after that they came out of retirement to join the newly entered Giants as experienced heads to mentor the franchise made up primarily from junior talent.
The pair had illustrious careers at the Power, including playing in the 2004 and 2007 Grand Finals and winning the former.
Giants coach Kevin Sheedy confirmed their selection on Thursday morning at Skoda Stadium.
Brogan will return for his eighth game of the season and one rumoured to be his last of his career.

The match will also be the first time that former Port Adelaide coach Mark “Choco” Williams will face the Power in battle from the opposite side of the fence, having maintained the role of GWS’ senior assistant coach for the past two years.
