PORT Adelaide will seek to exploit its pace advantage over Adelaide in Saturday's AFL showdown, Power midfielder Danyle Pearce says.
The Power have notched consecutive victories this season, mainly based on a fleet-footed brigade of runners headed by Pearce and Shaun Burgoyne.
Port's next task is against arch rival Adelaide, a club with the oldest playing list in the league and queries about its midfield speed.
"Every game is four (premiership) points but in saying that, a lot of the boys really get revved up for it," Pearce said of matches between the South Australian clubs.
"Everyone is really looking forward to it, we know it's going to be a big clash ... everyone in Adelaide is going to be up for it so it's going to be a tough clash."
While many pundits maintain Port's leg speed will be a decisive advantage over Adelaide, Pearce said that wasn't necessarily the case.
"They (Adelaide) showed on the weekend when they played the Bulldogs, who are a real fast side, that they can play against that and be efficient against it," he said.
"It's really how you deliver it and how you use the ball and how you initiate that pace into your game."
Port has just three players on its injury list, in contrast to the Crows who have 12 unavailable.
Crow forward Nathan Bock will play after accepting a tribunal reprimand for his front-on bump of Bulldog ruckman Luke Darcy last Sunday.
The Crows also expect versatile Brett Burton to press for a return from injury.
