NAB backs Port Adelaide’s most passionate supporters
NAB and Port Adelaide has announced a new two year partnership that includes the launch of the NAB Supporter of the Week.
Port Adelaide and NAB have announced a new two year partnership that will back the club and some of its most passionate and driven supporters.
The announcement, which was made in Adelaide’s Rundle Mall on Tuesday, coincided with the launch of a new pre-match entertainment program for games in 2007. The entertainment program will include Thunda Power, the Power Funk Squad, Power supporters young and old, as well as a new five- metre high float, Thunda Bolt, that will host a NAB Supporter of the Week.
NAB State General Manager for South Australia, Ann-Marie Chamberlain, said NAB Supporter of the Week was one way the Bank would be backing the Power’s most passionate supporters.
“Each home game will see one loud, proud and passionate fan chosen as NAB Supporter of the Week and that person will get to lead the charge at the next home game,” she said.
“They will get to ride the Thunda Bolt as it takes to the field and will also receive a $500 NAB savings account as reward for their passion – to kick off the program the first supporter of the week will receive $1000.”
“This partnership is great for NAB and for Port Adelaide, we get to back people with passion and drive while the club can harness the power of their supporters.”
Power chief executive John James said the club was thrilled to have NAB on board.
“NAB has already clearly demonstrated their commitment to grassroots football, through NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Rising Star and the NAB Cup, and it is great that they are continuing that support through to Port Adelaide Football Club.
“We have a lot of passionate supporters, and for NAB to formally acknowledge one of those people at each home game is a wonderful thing.”
In addition to NAB Supporter of the Week the partnership will also involve perimeter fence signage at AAMI Stadium and exclusive financial product offers for club supporters.
The NAB Supporter of the Week will be chosen from the crowd at AAMI Stadium a game in advance. The club and NAB will be looking out for someone who is loud, proud and passionate at every home game to be the following game’s NAB Supporter of the Week.
