The black, white and teal prevailed in a close battle against 2011 finalist St Kilda and Saturday’s match is the club’s third against one of last year’s top eight finishers in as many weeks.
Port Adelaide has only played Sydney at home three times since the Power’s Grand Final win and round three’s game will be a fantastic opportunity for the club to build a strong home fortress at AAMI Stadium this year.
Fans can access the stadium parking facilities from 11.30am, with gates opening at noon. This round will also see the Peter Badcoe VC Medal awarded to the player who best exemplifies the spirit of teamwork, selflessness, courage and fair play. This is the ninth time Port Adelaide has supported the presentation of the Badcoe Medal as part of Defence recognition month.
And the Port Adelaide action doesn’t end on Saturday, with the club’s SANFL side set to host traditional rivals Norwood at Alberton Oval for the first game of the Williams-Gallagher Cup. It’s the Magpies’ first home game for the year, so make sure you get down to Alberton for the 2.10pm match. Adults are $14, concession $8 and kids under 18 free.
So make sure to get behind our boys in this massive weekend for footy!
