PORT ADELAIDE makes its return to SANFL action this Saturday following a two-week competition shutdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak in South Australia.

Port will clash with the Crows at Adelaide Oval in the curtain raiser for Showdown L later that evening.

Ruckman Sam Hayes will take his place in the side after recovering from surgery to relocate a dislocated finger less than a fortnight ago.

However, first-year midfielder Taj Schofield was unable to prove his fitness at training during the week in his hopes to return from a right hamstring strain that has sidelined him for the previous six weeks.

Tom Clurey, Jed McEntee, Todd Marshall and Boyd Woodcock have been named among the AFL emergencies and will be eligible to feature at SANFL level if not required for the club’s Showdown L clash.

First bounce at Adelaide Oval is at 3:35pm on Saturday.
