Injury Update: Short absence hoped for Cassisi
Dom Cassisi's hamstring injury could be less serious than first thought reports Matthew Agius.
Cassisi was substituted in the second quarter of Port Adelaide’s 35-point win over Collingwood on Saturday.
High performance manager Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au he hopes scans on Cassisi's hamstring today will reveal a short-term injury.
"It's disappointing for Dom given the hard work he did to return from the hamstring originally,” said Burgess.
"He's getting scans today and we're hopeful that it will only be a short-term injury."
Tom Logan endured a kick to the shin and will be tested at training later in the week while skipper Travis Boak will be available to play despite rolling an ankle.
"Tommy got a bad kick to the shin and we’ll test him this week and Boaky will be fine to play," said Burgess.
Sam Colquhoun will be available to play this weekend after recovering from a hamstring injury that has kept him away from SANFL duties for several weeks.
Kane Mitchell will also be assessed after injuring an ankle at training last week.
Brett Ebert also left the field with an adductor injury and will require further assessment to the determine the extent of his latest setback.
