Port Adelaide Football Club feature length film This Is Port Adelaide will premiere on Stan streaming service from this Friday June 4.

This follows the theatrical release of the film which has screened in cinemas across Australia since its premiere in February.

This Is Port Adelaide recalls the remarkable 150-year journey of Australia’s most successful football club.

The film also takes viewers behind-the-scenes in 2020 as Port Adelaide was repeatedly challenged by the impacts of COVID-19, in what was to be the club’s 150th celebratory year.

This Is Port Adelaide shares passionate first-hand accounts from players, volunteers and one-eyed supporters who bleed for the club.

Daniel Norton, Port Adelaide Football Club GM – Media and executive producer of This Is Port Adelaide says the Port Adelaide Football Club story is one that needs to be told and shared with generations to come.

“Port Adelaide is Australia’s most successful league football club. It is an incredible story of highs and lows, underpinned by a shared football club and surrounding community mantra of never, ever giving up,” Mr Norton said.

“It is a story of unparalleled success that needed to be recorded and celebrated in a feature length film. It’s one of the great stories in Australian sport, the community football club who grew out of humble beginnings and became the only non-Victorian suburban club to be elevated into the AFL.

“This film is a celebration of a club, a community and an irresistible united force like you’ve never seen before.

“To partner with Stan to showcase this film on their streaming service is very exciting for the club. We are proud to tell the Port Adelaide story to a broader audience on their platform. It will enable Port Adelaide and football supporters in general to learn more about the history and values that has made our club what it is today.”

For those supporters who are not existing customers, Stan offers a 30 day free trial which can be accessed from their website
